Parish fashion week in September went ahead as always but with trimmed guest lists, more one on one presentations and some fashion lines choosing to adapt their runway shows to broadcast online. All in all, it made for a very exciting week.
The most noticeable accessory this year was of course a mask and social distancing made it another event with a difference. We even saw some names use lockdown and PPE to style there looks, they were not going to let COVID distract us from the much long waited for 2020/2021 looks and trends.
We also saw a lot of show goers wearing some statement headwear, from wide brims, buckets, berets and a lot of headscarves. It created a very ‘street’ looks to all the ensembles and made us realise maybe we need to up our game this winter and forget about the woolly beanie and add some style to our outfits.
We even saw one day dedicated to leather and baseball caps to really add that Autumn Feel, in solid colours of navy and black these hats really were the go-to, go with anything headwear.
The runways really were ‘brimming’ with a multitude of hats. We saw nostalgic chic wide brimmed hats and monochrome berets creating a very upmarket street look. Bold coloured fedoras with contrasting trims in silk added a true business as usual look and feathered halos gave the ultimate in feminine looks.
