Hat Trends A/W 2020
We have seen Spring and Summer hat trends 2020 merge into one long lock-down and restrictions with no opportunity to attend events to wear glamorous and adventurous hats.
Hopefully with things returning to the ‘new normal’ we may be able to take advantage and actually wear some of the designs hitting the runways this Autumn and Winter.
On the catwalk we saw some practical designs like caps and beanies made from faux furs and soft warming materials paired with matching warm winter coats.
We also saw the highly fashionable menswear inspired fedoras and bowlers that for the past couple of years has been a very street look. It seems the designers are catching onto this trend. As well as the fedoras we saw the addition of hats with chin straps or ties. Quite an unusual addition to the style of hats we are seeing.
Oversized seems to be the order of the day, with oversized elongated beanies and extra-large, very warm looking berets and buckets.
With a lot of leather equestrian boots stealing the show regarding winter footwear trends we were seeing these matched with equestrian style hats. Caps designed with hard round crowns and visors.
But as much as we love seeing the eccentric designs wondering whether we would or even could wear them, we are still seeing newsboys, baseball caps and headscarves for the majority that like practicality and easy to wear styles
