Royal Ascot 2021 is coming round and as much as it won’t be quite back to normal, the government are allowing 12,000 people to attend as another test event so plenty of reasons to start looking for that perfect headwear.
Ascot has some strict regulations on headwear depending on certain areas, these rules have always caused some confusion especially if you are attending for the first time.
To start with let us look at what ticket you have brought.
The Royal Enclosure –
Hats should be worn; a headpiece which has a solid base of four inches (10cm) or more in diameter is acceptable as an alternative to a hat.
Fascinators are not permitted.
Queen Anne Enclosure –
You must wear a hat, headpiece, or fascinator always, but there are no size restrictions.
Village Enclosure –
You must wear a hat, a headpiece or fascinator must be always worn, but there are no size restrictions.
Windsor Enclosure –
Recommended that you wear a hat, headpiece, or fascinator but no size restrictions.
If you are lucky enough to have tickets for the enclosures that require a hat, then stick with one that has solid base measuring more then 4 inches. Look on the descriptions of the hats to see if they are suitable and fit within the guidelines for Ascot. If not send us an email and we can let you know if that perfect piece fits such a royal eve
